HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR SHOW:

1. CALL, TEXT, EMAIL, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, everybody you know and tell them about your show.
2. Create a mailing list at your shows. Gather email addresses and Myspace links, and email them about your show. This will grow your fanbase.
3. Put up flyers everywhere in the Metroplex. (record stores, churches, schools, colleges, coffeehouses)
4. Tell your friends and fans to come at least 30-45 min. before your scheduled time. (ie: 8pm show, promote it as 7:30pm, this way your fans won’t be late.)

LOAD IN & SET TIMES:

sent to you in email confirmation letter

HOW BANDS GET PAID:

Bands get paid according to how many people come to see them. We ask every person who comes in the door which band they came to see and pay accordingly. This way, your hard work promoting your shows and building your fan base is rewarded. Bands that sit around and expect something for nothing don’t get paid much at all.

Local Bands: We normally don’t guarantee local bands. They are paid directly in proportion to the amount of fans they draw. Please get paid directly after your set at the box office.

BATTLE OF THE BANDS: NO ENTRY FEE! Prize money is $1000 purse (1st, 2nd, 3rd place prizes) at the final for the Metroplex Battle of the Bands. Bands compete in one of two Qualifying Battles and then advance to the Final Battle. Bands are judged on originality (within their genre), musicianship and amount of people they bring. As bands sign up they are assigned a slot in random order. Email us to sign up. newbands@thedoordallas.com
