The Door in Fort Worth opened in May, 2001 across from Billy Bob’s in “The Historic Fort Worth Stockyards”.  April 2011: The Door has been the place for new bands to break into the scene for the past thirteen years. Forever the Sickest Kids, Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights, Eisley, Sky Eats Airplane and many other bands got their start playing shows at The Door. The Door has been expanding since 1998 but with current economic conditions and higher overhead (rent increases, insurance, etc), we can no longer support the venues in Plano and Fort Worth.  In our mission to stimulate the original music scene all new bands in the metroplex will now be showcased at our Dallas facility through new band searches and battle of the bands.  Of course we will continue to showcase the best local bands and bring you all the great touring bands like we have over the years…new up-and-coming bands on their first tour, and established rock stars. Our Dallas venues, The Door and The Prophet Bar, are doing great and soon we’re expanding hours with kitchen operations.
